Who we are
DueAhead is a bill-tracking app published by Jorge Gomes Lopes, trading as Castledot (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in New South Wales, Australia. This policy explains how DueAhead handles your information. It applies to the DueAhead mobile app on iOS and Android.
What we collect
Nothing. DueAhead is designed to work entirely offline. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. Specifically:
- There is no account to create and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email, or phone number.
- DueAhead does not connect to your bank or any financial institution.
- We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers.
- We do not have servers that receive your data, because your data never leaves your device.
Where your data lives
All information you enter into DueAhead — including your bills, payment history, income and pay-cycle settings, receipts or attachments you add, and app preferences — is stored locally in a private database on your device. It stays on your device unless you choose to move it yourself (see “Backups and sharing” below).
Notifications
DueAhead can send you reminders about upcoming and overdue bills. These are local notifications generated on your device by the app. They are not sent through our servers or any push-notification service, and setting them does not transmit any information about you or your bills to us.
Backups and sharing
DueAhead lets you export a backup of your data, or export data as a CSV file, using your device’s standard share sheet. If you choose to do this, you decide where that file goes — for example, saving it to your files, or sending it to a cloud service or another app. Once you share a file outside DueAhead, it is handled by whatever service or app you send it to, under their terms and privacy practices, not ours. We never see or receive these files.
Device security features
You can optionally enable a biometric or device-passcode lock (Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN) to protect access to the app. This uses your device’s built-in security and is handled entirely by your operating system. DueAhead does not receive or store your biometric data.
Purchases
DueAhead offers a free trial followed by a one-time purchase to unlock the app. Payments are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play, not by us. We do not receive or store your payment details. Any information related to your purchase is handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We may receive anonymised, aggregated sales figures from these stores, which do not identify you.
Children
DueAhead is a general-purpose finance tool intended for adults managing their own bills. It is not directed at children, and because we collect no data, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your control over your data
Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in full control of it. You can edit or delete any bill, payment, or setting at any time within the app, and deleting the app removes its data from your device. As we hold none of your data, there is nothing for you to request from us or for us to delete on our end.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the “Last updated” date above and post the revised version at this address. Because DueAhead’s design is privacy-first, any future changes will continue to reflect that principle.
